Thank you once again for a delightful read. Brought back memories of my own attempt to overcome the fear of water by learning how to swim in my late 30’s. I succeeded and went on to teach my wife and children.

Thank you for the kind words, Vinod 🙏🏼 Hope you and your family are well. Kudos to you for overcoming your fear and also teaching your family how to swim. One of my favorite activities now is swimming — the eight-year-old me would find it hard to believe :)

Ila, what a lovely post. I found myself nodding in recognition of similar experiences and fears - nearly washed away by a wave and I still can't swim, despite two attempts at learning to. But mostly your words about fear are what resonated the most with me. Well done.

Beautifully expressed, Ila! Overcoming ones own fears requires a resolute belief in one's own ability to deal with the consequences of whatever it is that's inciting the fears! More power and credit to you for facing them head on!!!
