Lovely writing, Ila! When I was in Goa, i used to buy from the poder who used to come by every morning. Super tasty, and now thanks to you, I know the history of these unique breads.

Your essay on Goan Pao is such a joy to read! I’m curious, how did you move to Goa ?

Thank you! Not sure what you mean by ‘how’ but I have written a post about my move that might answer your question https://open.substack.com/pub/ilareddy/p/33-when-life-gives-you-lemons?r=4vyaz&utm_medium=ios

Hey, thank you so much for replying. I was curious about which part of goa you live, and how are you managing work. I am hoping to get an opportunity to move to goa. But now after reading you essay, the city bred in me is scared of all the animals you mentioned 😟.

I’m in a remote part of the South. Other parts of Goa are more connected and less wild :) I work remotely so can be based anywhere with internet.
